White Sky, Falling Dragon

36North presented a staged play reading of a new one-act play, “White Sky, Falling Dragon,” written by Steve “Spike” Wong. The play takes place over one day in 1944, as a young Chinese American Army Air Force bombardier returns home from his war service. He must find a way to deal with a wartime tragedy in order to fully return home to his previous life.

All of the play’s characters are Chinese, and the playwright is pleased that all the roles will be played by Asian actors. Admission is free, wine and snacks are available, and an audience discussion with the playwright and director will follow the show.

Join Spike in the future as he presents his full-length play when sheltering in place has been lifted.
