On Mon., June 27 at 7 p.m. @ Center Stage, 1001 Center St., 36 North: A Playwrights’ Collective (formerly The Monday Night Playwrights Group) announces Maritza’s Feast, the first in a series of developmental script-in-hand readings to help us move our plays from page to stage, giving our writers a chance to hear their new works in front of audiences. Directed by Robin Aronson, Maritza’s Feast is a full-length play by Tim Woods in which a matriarch’s obsession with a deathbed promise to unite her family leads to its dissolution. Each reading will be minimally blocked, with few or no sets. Audiences are invited to ask questions & give feedback after each presentation. FREE. Donations appreciated.
